Lawrence Holliday – President Holliday Entertainment
Lawrence was raised in Hunter's point community of San Francisco. He has an affinity to the community. From professional athlete, to entrepreneur, Lawrence has achieved personal and business success.
A graduate of Gonzaga University, Lawrence has over seventeen years experience in the film industry. His professional experience embodies a diversity of positions; director, producer, casting agent, actor, and personal assistant to actors Danny Glover and Mykiliti Willamson one the principal actors on the acclaimed NBC television show “Boomtown”. He has worked on over thirty independent film, music video and television projects including "Midnight Caller" and “The New WKRP in Cincinnati". Lawrence has worked on feature films including the TNT production of "Buffalo Soldiers" and "Species II". For three years, he was executive producer, director, and writer for “Sports Fan Rap” a local television sport show, which aired on cable channel 32. On the sports show, he interviewed famous professional athletes like Mark McGuire, Barry bonds, Venus Williams and Steve Young.
In the corporate operations management area, Lawrence has managed a diversity of businesses. From 1992-1995, he was an operations manager at the Oakland Zoo. Lawrence implemented several business operations strategies which increased operation efficiencies and profits by 40%. Part of his responsibilities included the direct supervision of thirty employees, and cash management of revenues which were 10 million annually. From 1989- 1992 he was operations manager of Cliffs a supper club and restaurant owned by former NBA player Cliff Robinson. Lawrence responsibilities included infrastructure development, operations and finance management. He managed cash transactions which were upwards of $50,000 daily. Within the first year of business the club grossed over one million dollars.
Lawrence Holliday, has over twenty years experience on inspiring youth to reach their potential. He has counseled, coached, and mentored. Since high school, he has volunteered for several elementary and high schools and nonprofit organization throughout San Francisco including the San Francisco Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, and San Francisco Parks and Recreation. For the past ten years, he has conducted youth basketball clinics throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and abroad the Philippines, China, and Canada.
For the past six years, he has collaborated with several non profit community based organizations in the San Francisco Hunters Point community including, Milton Myers, Joseph Lee Recreation Center and The Boys and Girls Club on film production training to youth ages 14 -21. He has worked with over 1,000 youth and improved the business operations of other local business communities within San Francisco.
One of Lawrence's greatest personal achievements was head coach of Magic Johnson's professional basketball team, the "Magic Johnson All Stars" for the 2001 season at the DADA SummerPro League in Southern California. Since 1999, he is the owner and head coach of the basketball team “San Mateo” in the San Francisco SummerProAm League who were the 2000 and 2006 league champions.
In 2001 Lawrence founded Holliday Foundation a 501(3)(c) non-profit corporation. The mission of Holliday Foundation is to provide youth an opportunity to enhance their quality of life by developing their social and employment skills. The objectives are to 1) train inner city youth, ages 14 to 21, in film and video productions and 2) Develop competitive and marketable employment skills for any career they wish to pursue.
2002 Highlights

In August 2002 Holliday Foundation collaborated with The San Francisco Mayors Office Department of Children Youth and Their Families, Operation No Limit, San Jose State University, and Alpha Phi Alpha at the first annual Out of Hunters’ Point Football camp held at San Jose State University. 250 youth males ages 7 to 16 spent three days and two nights there. The young men learned football techniques; received remedial testing and congregated with some of members of the San Jose football team. Holliday Foundation key responsibilities were project management, youth counseling and filming the documentary.

The Private Industry Council funded Holliday Foundation vocational film training program. All of the programs goals and objectives were reached. The participants created, developed and filmed a Public Service Announcement which focused on various community issues affecting Hunters Point community. Two of our participants were offered internships at ABC KGO TV Channel 7 in San Francisco.

July 2002 Holliday Foundation collaborated with San Francisco Park and Recreation Department, Southeast Community Health Clinic, The San Francisco Mayors Office and The San Francisco Hunters Point Boys and Girls Club on Family Day 2002 concert honoring Ruben Smith in the Hunters’ Point community of San Francisco. Over 700 community resident attended the event. The day was filled with fun activities including basketball and tennis tournaments, barbeque and local entertainment. Television stations NBC channel 4, KGO TV ABC Channel 7, and CBS Channel 5 televised the event. Later on that evening all of these stations, aired the concert highlights. San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown spoke at the event. Holliday Foundation primary responsibilities were project management, event coordination and staffing, and filming.
In the Summer 2003, Holliday Foundation provided paid internships thru a collaboration with Spike Lee’s production company “Forty Acres and Mule”. The participants worked at film locations in San Francisco during the filming of “Sucker Free City”. Later on that summer, Holliday Foundation also produced two Public Service Announcements featuring professional football player Eddie George of the Tennessee Titans.
Since 2003 Lawrence Holliday has collaborated with Raymond Farris world class trainer, on an exiting business opportunity in the Fitness and Health industry. Lawrence began the venture with by producing Preparing Legends. His mission is to create a direction and focus for the development of products and services that will established Raymond Farris as the foremost fitness and health expert.

Using infomercials and other media mediums to introduce Raymond Farris not only as a world class trainer but also fitness expert whose techniques and philosophies are beneficial for all levels of fitness.

To create a series of educational and entertaining exercise videos for the potential professional athlete, exercise enthusiasts or individual who wants improve their overall health. Preparing Legends is the beginning of this series.

Raymond Farris has established himself as one of the top trainers in the world through his activities at the highest level of athletic excellence. He has guided individuals who have made a living in the NFL, MLB, and NBA and have optimized their athletic powers through a structure program headed by Mr. Farris. The popularity that he has garnered has primarily gone unnoticed by the general public but is well respected by professional athletes.
Holliday Foundation partnered with San Jose Sabercats, 2004 Arena Football Champions, on a crime and drug awareness project. Several members of the team counseled youth at various schools and community events on drug and crime prevention. The participants had an opportunity to film and interview the players for a Public Service Announcement.
Lawrence continues to work with the San Francisco summerProAm basketball league. Thru his team of experts including high school and college coaches, professional sports trainers and agents and his philosophy of tough love, Lawrence has helped several collegiate and high school basketball players get scholarships to division I colleges and play professional basketball.
He continues his involvement with the communities by working with small business thru out the San Francisco Bay Area.
